This is a "new technique" taking the bass fishing world by storm in the USA, although the Japanese have been using this method to great effect for many years. Simply rig the lure as pictured, either on a weigtless or weighted hook. Insert a tungsten nail weight or fish weightless for amazing results. You can also add a splitshot or tungsten bead to turn into a finesse jig head.
This method enables you to target suspended fish and fish it almost like a suspending jerkbait, leaving it in the strike zone longer.
You can also add The Lure Box small or medium screw and a splitshot, turning the rig into a belly weighted weedless swimbait hook like the Decoy Makisasu. Adjust the weight and position on the hook for varied action and sink rates.
